Throughout my career, I've consistently focused on the human impact of technology. This has naturally led me to explore the intersection of AI and mental health care.
With over 15 years of experience in content design leadership, I've specialized in creating strategic, user-centered experiences across enterprise platforms. My expertise has evolved from UX content strategy to directing AI-driven experiences, with a particular focus on ensuring quality, coherence, and human-centered interactions in complex systems.
Project Highlights
GenAI Search at Yahoo
Challenge: Design a conversational AI search experience that maintained user trust while delivering on the promise of more intuitive, natural interactions.
Approach: Led development of comprehensive content design frameworks addressing conversational patterns, error handling, trust signaling, and transparency in AI-generated results.
Outcome: Successfully launched Yahoo's first GenAI search experience with positive user feedback on trustworthiness and ease of use. Established best practices adopted across the organization for future AI product development.
Relevance to Mental Health: This work deepened my understanding of how humans develop trust in AI systems—a critical consideration for therapeutic applications where trust is foundational to effectiveness.
ML Platform Transformation at Capital One
Challenge: Transform an underperforming machine learning platform that was failing to meet enterprise quality standards, impacting user confidence and adoption.
Approach: Implemented comprehensive strategy addressing content design, interaction patterns, transparency, and appropriate human-AI collaboration models.
Outcome: Raised platform quality score from failing to exceeding all enterprise-wide design standards within 6 months, significantly improving user adoption and satisfaction.
Relevance to Mental Health: The project reinforced how critical appropriate human oversight is in AI systems—a principle that's especially important in mental health applications where human expertise must remain central.
As I continue to evolve my skills at the intersection of AI and mental health, I'm currently focused on:
Deepening therapeutic knowledge through my MS in Mental Health Counseling at Marquette University
Developing coaching expertise through ICF certification (estimated completion May 2025)
Expanding understanding of Internal Family Systems approach through training with Dr. Richard Schwartz starting June 2025
Staying current with emerging research on AI applications in mental health and sharing insights with mental health professionals
Exploring ethical frameworks for AI implementation in therapeutic contexts
